Of particular interest to tourists, the sculpture garden houses works by Henry Moore and offers plenty of respite.

This moving account of the death of millions of Jews during the Holocaust is both educational and macabre. The history of this event is demonstrated through interesting exhibits, artworks, artefacts and a research centre that deserves a few hours of exploration. The onsite bookstore at Jerusalem's Yad Vashem Memorial and Holocaust Museum features CD ROMs, videos and books on the subject for those who want to know more.

Jerusalem Museums: Burnt House

Raised by the Romans as long ago as 70 BC, this house has today been excavated to reveal interesting artefacts from the city's Roman past. Among the fascinating finds at Burnt House are a woman's arm bone, spearheads, a coin mould, and various stone vessels.

Jerusalem Museums: Natural History Museum

Located on the western side of the city, the Natural History Museum is the perfect attraction for those with children. Always very popular is the display relating to dinosaurs and reptiles, while further exhibits concentrate on the various creatures of Israel, including very colourful stuffed birds and dioramas. Other highlights include local rocks and minerals, summer nature camps and audio visuals.
